Hama Gatio

Hama Gatio (also: Hama Gattio ) is a hamlet in the Niamey V arrondissement of the city of Niamey in Niger .
The hamlet is located in the west of the rural area of Niamey V. The surrounding hamlets include Kariel I in the north, Yowaré in the south, Tchéna Thayia in the southwest and Wouro Bellabé in the west. A side valley of the 17 kilometer long dry valley Kourtéré Gorou runs near Hama Gatio , which flows into the Niger River behind Kourtéré .
At the 2012 census, Hama Gatio had 251 residents who lived in 18 households. The majority of the population in this area belongs to the Fulbe ethnic group .
Hama Gatio is surrounded by fields and gardens. There are two schools, a mosque , a market and a gas pump in the hamlet .
