Horst Festival
The Horst Festival was from 2009 to the 2014 to the Republic Square in Monchengladbach take-find music festival . It consisted of a culture tent and two stages, which are labeled "Da Vorne" and "Da Hinten". The non-profit association HORST Musik- und Kulturförderung eV is behind the Horst Festival and all other Horst campaigns
On August 8, 2014, the organizers announced that they would not hold another Horst Festival. The main reasons for the festival not continuing, they cite an increasing workload accompanied by a lack of funding from the city of Mönchengladbach and a lack of recognition from local politics.
