Ina ( Japanese 伊 那 市 , - shi ) is a city in the center of Nagano Prefecture on the Japanese main island of Honshu .

history
The city of Ina was founded on March 31, 2006 from the former communities Ina, Takatō and Hase .

Ina is the Takatō Castle ( 高遠 城 , Takato-jō ) and the Takatō Dam ( 高遠 ダ ム , Takato-damu ). Ina is also a winter sports area.
