Nakagawa ( Japanese : 中 川村 , -mura ) is a village in Kamiina-gun in Nagano Prefecture on the Japanese main island of Honshū .
geography
Nakagawa is the southernmost community of Kamiina-gun and is located in the Ina Basin on the Tenryū River . 5,343 people live on 77.05 km² (as of March 1, 2010). Nakagawa is located at the foot of the Akaishi Mountains . Neighboring municipalities are the big city ( shi ) Komagane , the cities ( machi ) Iijima (Kamiina-gun) and Matsukawa ( Shimoina-gun ) and the village of Ōshika (Shimoina-gun).
history
Nakagawa was created on August 1, 1958 by merging the two villages Katakiri and Namikai. Since October 7, 2008, Nakagawa has been a member of the association of the “most beautiful villages in Japan” ( “Nihon de mottomo utsukushii mura” rengō ).

Nakagawa is over the station Ina-Tajima at the Iida Line of JR Central tethered.
As a trunk road, National Road 153 runs through Nakagawa.
