LEDA / PGC 85570 ( NGC 7720-2 ) is an elliptical dwarf galaxy of the Hubble type E in the constellation Pegasus in the northern sky . It is estimated to be 370 million light years from the Milky Way and about 20,000 light years across. Together with NGC 7720 , it forms the gravitationally bound galaxy pair KPG 588 .
In the same area of the sky are u. a. the galaxies NGC 7726 , NGC 7728 , IC 5341 , IC 5342 .
The object was discovered by Wilhelm Herschel on September 10, 1784 .
