The Lancia Musa is a minivan produced by the Italian car manufacturer Lancia between spring 2004 and summer 2012.

The Musa (in English: the Muse ) was the first vehicle of this type and size from Lancia. It was also referred to by the manufacturer as a compact van or compact MPV (Multi Purpose Vehicle).

General

Rear view

The Musa was created together with the sister model Fiat Idea , but was better equipped. For example, there were seat covers made from a leather and Alcantara combination, chrome trim, a navigation system and a Bose sound system as options.

The presentation took place in March 2004 at the Geneva Motor Show , and sales started in late summer.

On the one hand, the Musa is an independent model, but it was also intended to act as a replacement for a five-door version of the then Lancia Ypsilon . The Musa was produced in the Lancia Mirafiori plant in Turin and bears the internal type designation 350 .

Facelift

The revised Musa celebrated its world premiere at the 64th Venice International Film Festival in September 2007 . The front apron and the radiator grille were modified. The tailgate, rear apron and taillights have also been redesigned, which are now equipped with LED lights.

The "Nuova Musa" was also characterized by a new wheel design and new exterior paintwork, with various bi-color paintwork being available again. In the interior, the trunk volume has been increased by 75 liters by lowering the loading floor. There were also other colors for the seat covers and the dashboard.

An advertising campaign was created for the Musa with Carla Bruni , former model, singer and wife of Nicolas Sarkozy .

In July 2012, the production of the Musa was ended without a successor.
