The men's decathlon at the 1993 World Athletics Championships was held on August 19 and 20, 1993 in the Gottlieb Daimler Stadium in Stuttgart .
World champion was the US defending champion and world record holder Dan O'Brien . He won from Eduard Hämäläinen from Belarus . Bronze went to the German Paul Meier .
