List of Austrian libraries

The list of Austrian libraries contains a selection of important academic , public (ÖBs) and other libraries in Austria .

The Austrian Library Association lists more than 1,400 public libraries and 1,000 school libraries on its website. For school libraries, however, only member libraries are recorded - the total number is significantly higher. Another organization in the field of ÖBs is the Austrian Library . Around 80% of all libraries in Austria use the Austrian Systematics for Public Libraries (ÖSÖB) for the systematic listing and cataloging of their holdings. Scientific and administrative libraries are also coordinated by the Austrian Library Association . The national bibliography is called the Austrian Bibliography .
