This list of members of the Carinthian state parliament (30th legislative period) (as of August 17, 2012) lists all former and active members of the Carinthian state parliament in the 30th legislative period (from 2009 to 2013). The constituent meeting of the state parliament took place on March 31, 2009. At this meeting, after the members of the state parliament had sworn in, the members of the Carinthian state government Dörfler II were elected. Some government members who had previously been sworn in as members of the state parliament subsequently renounced their state parliament mandates and were only members of the state parliament for a short time during the session.

After the state elections in Carinthia in 2009 , 17 of the 36 mandates went to Bündnis Zukunft Österreich (BZÖ), 11 to the Social Democratic Party of Austria (SPÖ), 6 to the Austrian People's Party (ÖVP) and 2 to The Greens - The Green Alternative (GRÜNE ). Due to the small number of mandates, the Greens did not receive club status. According to the rules of procedure, they form an interest group under the name "Interest group Die Grünen (IG Die Grünen in the state parliament)".

Compared to the Carinthian Landtag in the 29th legislative period, 12 new members were sworn in in the Landtag. Within the BZÖ six new members moved into the state parliament, three new members each moved into the state parliament for the SPÖ and the ÖVP. The Green Group, however, remained unchanged. Of the 36 mandataries, only seven were women MPs at the beginning of the period. While the gender ratio was balanced among the Greens, the proportion of women at the beginning of the period was around 18% in the SPÖ and BZÖ and around 17% in the ÖVP.

Functions

Landtag President

The BZÖ member Josef Lobnig was again elected as the first president of the state parliament in the first state parliament session . Rudolf Schober (SPÖ) was named the new 2nd President of the State Parliament after the former 2nd President of the State Parliament, Hans Ferlitsch, no longer stood in the state election. 3rd President of the Landtag was Johann Gallo (BZÖ), who took over the office instead of Martin Strutz , who was also no longer in office .

Club chairmen

The BZÖ MPs elected Kurt Scheuch as the chairman of the “Freedom BZÖ State Parliament Club in Carinthia” , with Gernot Darmann acting as his deputy . After Scheuch moved to the state government, Darmann was promoted to club chairman in 2012, while Harald Trettenbrein was promoted to deputy club chairman. The “Club of Social Democratic Members of the Carinthian State Parliament - SPÖ Club” was initially headed by Herwig Seiser as club chairman. After Reinhart Rohr resigned from the state government in April 2010 and returned to the state parliament, he took over the agendas of the Seiser club chairman. Jakob Strauss has been elected deputy club chairman since the 2009 election. As in the previous period, Stephan Michael Tauschitz was initially the chairman of the “Club of ÖVP Members in the Carinthian State Parliament” . However, he was replaced in the course of the Birnbacher case in August 2012, whereupon Ferdinand Hueter moved from the position of deputy club chairman to club chairman. Hueter took over the post of deputy club chairman from Robert Lutschounig , who left the state parliament in 2009. Since the Greens did not achieve club status with two mandataries, there is no club chairman of the "Green Interest Group in the Carinthian State Parliament".
