List of architectural monuments in Haidhausen

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

This page lists the monuments in the Munich district of Haidhausen in district 5 Au-Haidhausen . There is also a picture collection and a photo album with selected pictures for these monuments . This list is part of the list of architectural monuments in Munich . The basis is the Bavarian Monument List , which was first created on the basis of the Bavarian Monument Protection Act of October 1, 1973 and has since been maintained and updated by the Bavarian State Office for Monument Preservation . The following information does not replace the legally binding information from the monument protection authority.

Ensembles

  • Haidhausen . The area from Haidhausen in its extension between Kirchenstrasse, Preysingstrasse, Steinstrasse up to the Maximilianeum is an ensemble. It is a vivid example of the successive transformation of an original village and suburban situation into an urban quarter, with the early and mid-19th century creating new structures, the late 19th century leaving old lines in the development, but reshaping and urban planning only pointedly . (E-1-62-000-22)
  • Ostbahnhofviertel . The Ostbahnhofviertel, which was laid out from 1870 onwards, is the most important example of geometric urban planning in Munich during the Wilhelminian era . As a uniformly planned and built-up urban expansion area and as a clearly outwardly delimited and self-contained quarter with the characteristics of strong spatial and architectural homogeneity, it forms an ensemble. In addition to its historical and aesthetic qualities, the satellite-like district is characterized by pronounced urban characteristics, factors whose emergence is not causally, but can be explained by the structurally prescribed architectural reference functions and the clear orientation qualities of the spatial and architectural physiognomy. Against the background of simultaneous and roughly equal-area urban expansion projects in Germany, the Ostbahnhofviertel occupies a unique place. With its street and square names, the Ostbahnhofviertel is reminiscent of the Franco-Prussian War of 1870/71, which also earned it the name "Franzosenviertel". (E-1-62-000-48)
  • Prinzregentenstrasse left and right of the Isar . The Prinzregentenstrasse in its course between the Prinz-Carl-Palais in the west and Richard-Strauss-Strasse / Leuchtenbergring in the east is an ensemble of particular urban significance. It is a vivid example of a metropolitan main street in which a monumental street of the type baroque prospectstreet isconnected with the principles of picturesque town planning and its varied pictorial situations, whereby an artistic relationship between city and river could be achieved in an exemplary manner. The special urban development achievement is revealed in the changing images of a kind of street landscape of considerable length, especially in the sequence of movements through the entire street to the left and right of the Isar, with the peace monument above the Luitpold terraceassuminga joint function. Former Good Shepherd Convent Originally the castle and garden of the Barons of Leublfing and Count Preysing, now the ecclesiastical center of the Archdiocese. Partly historical group of buildings in a large garden area. On the Leonhardstraße wall, the northern part of the 18th century with panels and portal columns on the inside; the southern part with the entrance gate around 1908 at the same time as building A (see below). In the middle the former monastery, Romanizing / Gothicizing complex with two wings on the sides of the reticulated church, 1841–43. To the south of it, building A, Edith-Stein-Gymnasium of the Archdiocese of Munich and Freising, towering, historicizing three-wing building, 1908 by Korbinian Schmid. Building C (now the German Catechists' Association ) probably dates from pre-monastery times , the hipped roof building perhaps from the 18th century; and the free-standing, elongated, simple classicist building northeast of it, 1st half of the 19th century, now the AV media department. Remarks

  1. This list may not correspond to the current status of the official list of monuments. The latter can be viewed on the Internet as a PDF using the link given under web links and is also mapped in the Bavarian Monument Atlas . Even these representations, although they are updated daily by the Bavarian State Office for Monument Preservation , do not always and everywhere reflect the current status. Therefore, the presence or absence of an object in this list or in the Bavarian Monument Atlas does not guarantee that it is currently a registered monument or not. The Bavarian List of Monuments is also an information directory. The monument property - and thus the legal protection - is defined in Art. 1 of the Bavarian Monument Protection Act (BayDSchG) and does not depend on the mapping in the monument atlas or the entry in the Bavarian monument list. Objects that are not listed in the Bavarian Monument List can also be monuments if they meet the criteria according to Art. 1 BayDSchG. Early involvement of the Bavarian State Office for Monument Preservation according to Art. 6 BayDSchG is therefore necessary in all projects.
