Location of the city

Loja is a city in Spain that is located in the province of Granada . The city is located west of Granada and northeast of Málaga at the western end of the Vega of Granada at an altitude of 487 m.

Personalities

Morayma , the favorite wife of the last Sultan of Granada , Boabdil , was the daughter of the Nasrid governor of Loja. She died in Láujar de Andarax ( Alpujarras ) in 1494 .
