Młynowo ( German  Mühlbach , 1928 to 1945 Adlig Mühlbach ) is a small village in the Polish Warmian-Masurian Voivodeship in the Gmina Srokowo (rural community Drengfurth ) in the powiat Kętrzyński ( Rastenburg district ).

Geographical location

Młynowo is located on the west bank of the Schülzer See ( Polish Jezioro Silec ) in the northern center of the Warmian-Masurian Voivodeship , 15 kilometers northeast of the district town of Kętrzyn ( German  Rastenburg ).

history

The small place called " Abbau Großmann " was owned by the citizen Andreas Großmann and was only given the name "Mühlbach" on August 27, 1821. The Gutsort became an independent manor district in 1873 and as such came a year later to the newly established Salzbach district ( Solanka in Polish ) in the East Prussian district of Rastenburg . In 1885 there were 134 residents in Mühlbach, 76 in 1905 and 116 again in 1910.

On September 30, 1928, Mühlbach lost its independence and was incorporated into the rural community of Salzbach ( Solanka in Polish ) with the name “Adlig Mühlbach” and the neighboring town of Knipprode ( Chojnica in Polish ).

When the whole of southern East Prussia was transferred to Poland in 1945 as a result of the war , Adlig Mühlbach was also affected. The place received the Polish name form "Młynowo" and is today a "Przysiółek wsi Solanka" ( German  "Weiler des Dorfes Solanka" ) within the rural community Srokowo (Drengfurth) in the powiat Kętrzyński ( Rastenburg district ), until 1998 of the Olsztyn Voivodeship , since then Warmian-Masurian Voivodeship .

church

Until 1945 (nobleman) Mühlbach was parish in the Evangelical Parish Church of Drengfurth in the church province of East Prussia of the Church of the Old Prussian Union and in the Catholic Church of St. Katharina in Rastenburg with the branch chapel Drengfurth in the then diocese of Warmia .

Today Młynowo belongs to the Catholic parish Srokowo in the current Archdiocese of Warmia , as well as to the Evangelical Church Srokowo , a branch church of the Johanneskirche Kętrzyn in the diocese of Masuria of the Evangelical-Augsburg Church in Poland .

traffic

Młynowo is located east of Voivodship Road 650 and can be reached from Lesieniec (Waldenthal) via Rybakowo (Schönthal) . There is no connection to rail traffic .
