Margarita is an Italian commune with 1421 inhabitants (as of December 31, 2019) in the province of Cuneo in the Piedmont region .

history

The name of the city appears for the first time on March 23, 1018 as Sancta Margareta in a document of the Catholic Church. Documents, which also prove the existence of the place in a political sense, date from the middle of the 13th century.
