The castle Niederalfingen even Marienburg or Fuggerschloss called, is a spur castle on a mountain ridge above the Kocher at the district Niederalfingen the community Huettlingen in Ostalbkreis in Baden-Württemberg .
history
Around 1050 the castle was built as a Hohenstaufen complex to secure important trade routes, after 1300 it changed hands to the Knights of Seckendorf , in 1368 to Count Eberhard the Greiner of Württemberg, in 1415 to the nobles of Hürnheim and in 1551 it has since passed mighty castle complex to the Augsburger Fugger , of which 1575 to 1577 the castle is rebuilt and expanded.
In 1838 the castle came into the possession of the then Kingdom of Württemberg and has been used as an educational and leisure center since 1966. Extensive renovation work took place in 1993–2000.
Todays use
Today the castle serves as a youth education center, leisure center and school camp . The bailiwick building below the castle wall houses the local history museum of the community of Hüttlingen.

The castle complex, which developed from a Zwingerburg with an access gate, has a core castle with wings converging, outer bailey and considerable circular walls . It is clearly visible from afar thanks to its 30 meter high keep , the copper tower, with a base area of 9.8 × 9.8 meters with a wall thickness of 3.2 meters, which is four-sided at the bottom and octagonal at the top, equipped with gun hatches. The castle chapel was dedicated to St. Maria , St. Barbara and St. Katharina.
