Mazurkowo ( German Masurhöfchen ) is a place in the Polish Warmian-Masurian Voivodeship and belongs to Gmina Srokowo (Drengfurth) in the powiat Kętrzyński ( Rastenburg district ).
Geographical location
Mazurkowo is located on the west bank of the Nordenburg Lake ( Jezioro Oświn in Polish ) in the northern center of the Warmian-Masurian Voivodeship , 18 kilometers southeast of the former district town of Gerdauen (now in Russian Schelesnodoroschny ) and 21 kilometers northeast of today's district metropolis Kętrzyn ( German Rastenburg ).
history
The small place called Masichrs around 1785 and Masuhrenhöfchen around 1820 consisted of a small courtyard and was a residential area in the municipality of Klein Bajohren (1938 to 1945 Kleinblankenfelde , in Polish Bajory Małe ) in the East Prussian district of Gerdauen . In 1820 it was mentioned as a " cöllmisches establishment with 2 fireplaces and 12 souls". The number of inhabitants rose to 29 by 1885 and was 14 in 1905.
1945 came Masur Höfchen in consequence of the war with the entire southern East Prussia to Poland and received the Polish form of the name "Mazurkowo". Today, the site should merely "część wsi Wyskok" - "the village Wyskok part of" a (Friedenshof) within the rural community Srokowo (Drengfurth) in kętrzyn county (county Rastenburg) until 1998, the Olsztyn province , since the Warmia and Mazury belong .
