NGC 4634 is a 12.7 likes bright spiral dwarf galaxy with extensive star formation from Hubble type SBc in the constellation Coma Berenices the northern sky . It is estimated to be 11 million light years from the Milky Way and about 10,000 light years in diameter. The galaxy forms the gravitationally bound pair Holm 445 with NGC 4633 and is listed under the catalog number VVC 1932 as part of the Virgo galaxy cluster .
In the same area of the sky are u. a. the galaxies NGC 4611 , IC 3637 , IC 3658 , IC 3735 .
The object was discovered by the astronomer William Herschel on 1787 with its 18.7-inch reflector.
