NGC 4633 = IC 3688 is a 13.3 mag bright spiral dwarf galaxy with extensive star formation areas of the Hubble type SBd in the constellation of Berenike's hair in the northern sky . It is estimated to be 11 million light years from the Milky Way and about 5,000 light years across. The galaxy forms the gravitationally bound pair Holm 445 with NGC 4634 and is listed under the catalog number VVC 1929 as part of the Virgo galaxy cluster . In the same area of ​​the sky are u. a. the galaxies NGC 4611 , IC 3637 , IC 3658 , IC 3735 .

The object was discovered by Edward D. Swift on April 27, 1887 .
