NGC 6505 is an elliptical galaxy of Hubble type E / S0 in the constellation Dragon at the northern sky . in the constellation Dragon in the northern sky. It is estimated to be 582 million light years away from the Milky Way and about 190,000 light years in diameter .
The object was discovered by Lewis A. Swift on June 27, 1884 .
