NGC 860 is an elliptical galaxy of Hubble type E4 in the constellation triangle at the northern sky . It is estimated to be 400 million light-years from the Milky Way and about 60,000 light-years across. Presumably it forms a gravitationally bound galaxy pair together with PGC 8613 .
The object was by astronomer Edouard Stephan using the September 18, 1871 of a 80-cm - telescope discovered.
