NGC 841 is a barred spiral galaxy with an active galactic nucleus from Hubble type SBab in the constellation Andromeda on the northern sky . It is estimated to be 210 million light years from the Milky Way and about 110,000 light years in diameter .
In the same area of the sky are u. a. the galaxies NGC 834 and NGC 845 .
The object was discovered on November 24, 1883 by the astronomer Édouard Jean-Marie Stephan .
