from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

The nature reserve Krämershagen with a size of 8.12  hectares is located north of Medebach . It was designated as a nature reserve (NSG) by the Hochsauerlandkreis in 2003 with the Medebach landscape plan. The NSG is part of the European bird sanctuary Medebacher Bucht (DE-4717-401). In the east, the NSG is directly adjacent to a part of Medebach. The NSG borders on the nature reserve Waldreservat Glindfeld (Medebach) to the west . In the south, the nature reserve Medebacher Kernraum borders : spring troughs, lowland zones and flat slopes . The Medebach nature reserve borders in the north and south-west .

Area description

The NSG is grassland . In the grassland there are poor pastures, broom heather and wet meadows. In the NSG breed rear breeders such as Red-backed Shrike .

Protection purpose

The NSG is supposed to protect the grassland with its species inventory. As with all nature reserves in Germany, the protection designation indicated that the area was declared a nature reserve “because of the rarity, special character and beauty of the area”.
