Oktjabrskoje ( Russian Октя́брьское ) is a village (selo) in the Chelyabinsk Oblast in Russia with 6,780 inhabitants (as of October 14, 2010).
geography
The village is located about 120 km in a straight line to the southeast of Oblastverwaltungszentrums Chelyabinsk in the southwestern part of the West Siberian lowlands . It is located in the steppe area east of the Urals on several lakes without drainage, a good 30 km from the border with Kazakhstan , which is marked there by the river Ui .
Oktjabrskoje is the administrative center of the Rajons Oktyabrsky and seat of the rural community Oktjabrskoje selskoje posselenije, (km 7 northwest) which also includes the eight villages Barsutschje, Bulanowo (11 km northwest), Kijewka (10 km east), Lebjodki (9 km northeast), Nowomoskowskoje ( 23 km east-southeast), Shokhovo (10 km northeast), Semjonowka (8 km southwest) and Stepanowka (9 km north-northeast) belong.
history
From the hamlets (chutor) Chramzowo, Kalmykowo, Kemerowo and Polyakowo, founded towards the end of the 19th century, the village of Kalmykowo emerged in the early 20th century .
On May 10, 1935, the place was the administrative seat of the newly created Oktjabrski rajon, from Russian oktjabr for " October ", here with reference to the October Revolution . At the same time the village was renamed Oktyabrskoje .

Oktyabrskoje is the end point of the regional road 75K-012, which branches off between Chelyabinsk and Korkino from the federal highway A310 (formerly M36) or the Chelyabinsk bypass 75K-205 and runs through the northwestern neighboring district of Jetkul . In a south-westerly direction, the 75K-023 runs from Oktjabrskoje to Troitsk , 90 km away , not far from the Kazakh border, also on the A310. Village is also the nearest train station on the Chelyabinsk - Orsk / Qostanai route . To the north, east and south of Oktyabrskoje there is a bypass road (75K-192).
