Economy and Infrastructure
Like the nearby town of Korkino, with which it is practically one unit, Rosa is the center of coal mining in Chelyabinsk Oblast. Immediately on the western edge of the village is the Korkinski opencast mine , which, with a depth of almost 500 m, is one of the deepest open-cast coal mines in the world (bottom at around 270 m below sea level ; a deepening of a further 20 meters is planned).
The closest passenger train station is Dubrowka-Chelyabinskaya west of Korkino on the Chelyabinsk- Troitsk - Orsk route . However, there is a dense network of mining and industrial railways throughout the area; A freight line runs through Rosa and connects the industrial cities east and south of Chelyabinsk ( Kopeisk , Korkino and Jemanschelinsk ).
Rosa lies between the M36 Yekaterinburg - Chelyabinsk - Troitsk - Kazakh border, which bypasses Korkino on the western outskirts, and the regional road that branches off from it and leads to the southeastern part of the oblast and runs northeast of Rosa.
