Hungary took part in the 1932 Summer Olympics in Los Angeles with a delegation of 58 athletes (56 men and 2 women) in 39 competitions in eleven competitions.
The Hungarian athletes won six gold, four silver and five bronze medals. In the art competitions, the Hungarian artists secured a bronze medal, but this was not included in the official medal table, in which the Netherlands took sixth place. Olympic champions were the boxer István Énekes in the flyweight division, the gymnast István Pelle on the pommel horse and on the floor, the fencer György Piller with the saber and the saber team and the men's water polo team. The flag bearer at the opening ceremony was the athlete Péter Bácsalmási .
