British Guyana took part in the 1960 Summer Olympics in the Italian capital, Rome, with a delegation of five athletes, four men and one woman, in six competitions in two sports.

The youngest athlete was the high jumper Brenda Archer (17 years and 356 days), the oldest athlete was the boxer Carl Crawford (24 years and 356 days). It was the fourth Summer Olympics for the country.
