Pridoroschnoje ( Russian Придорожное , German  Groß Asznaggern , 1936 to 1945 Grenzberg , Lithuanian Ašnugariai ) is a place in the Russian Oblast Kaliningrad . It belongs to the local government unit Stadtkreis Slawsk in slavsky district .

Geographical location

Pridoroschnoje is located on the regional road 27A-009 (ex A197 ) six kilometers southeast of the central municipality of Bolshakowo. It is 22 kilometers in a north-westerly direction to Slavsk, the capital of the Rajons (Heinrichswalde) . There is no train connection. Before 1945, the place was a train station on the Insterburg – Groß Skaisgirren / Kreuzingen line of the Insterburger Kleinbahnen .

Before 1945 the village of Groß Asznaggern consisted of several small and large farms as well as a brickyard and a windmill .

In 1874 the rural community was incorporated into the newly established district of Oschweningken (from 1939 it was called the "Breitenhof district", the place no longer exists), which was incorporated into the Niederung district until 1945 (from 1938 " Elchniederung district ") in the Gumbinnen district of the Prussian province East Prussia belonged. On August 17, 1936, Groß Asznaggern was given the new name "Grenzberg".

After the reclassification to the Soviet Union caused by the war , the place received the Russian name "Pridoroschnoje" in June 1947. At the same time, the place became the seat of a village soviet, which had been in Bolshakovo Raion since July 1947 . After the dissolution of this village soviet in 1960, the place came into the village soviet Bolshakovsky selski sovet . Pridorozhnoye has been located in Slavsk Raion since 1963 . From 2008 to 2015 the place belonged to the rural municipality Bolshakowskoje selskoje posselenije and since then to the urban district of Slavsk.

The village soviet Pridoroschny selski Sowet (ru. Придорожный сельский Совет) was initially set up in June 1947 in Slavsk Raion. In July 1947, the village soviet came to the newly created Bolshakovo Rajon . In 1960 the village soviet was (presumably) attached to the Bolshakowski selski sovet .

Furthermore, in 1947 the forester's house Rosenberg, located in the Papuschienen forest, was incorporated into this village soviet as Wessjoloje, where it actually does not fit geographically.

With its majority Protestant population, Groß Asznaggern resp. Grenzberg before 1945 to the parish of the church Skaisgirren in Groß Skaisgirren (from 1938: Kreuzingen, today in Russian: Bolschakowo). It was part of the church district Niederung (Elchniederung) within the church province of East Prussia of the Church of the Old Prussian Union . Now Pridoroschnoje is churchly located again in the catchment area of ​​Bolshakowo, where a new Evangelical Lutheran congregation was formed in the 1990s. It is a branch congregation within the church region of the Salzburg Church in Gussew (Gumbinnen) , which is part of the Kaliningrad (Königsberg) provost of the Evangelical Lutheran Church of European Russia .
