The next train station is Nesterow on the Kaliningrad – Nesterow railway line to continue to Lithuania - a section of the former Prussian Eastern Railway .

history

The place called Petrikatschen at the time belonged to one of the 15 municipalities and manor districts that were incorporated into the newly formed district of Groß Wannagupchen (Russian: Swobodnoje) on June 24, 1874 . In 1910 Petrikatschen had 207 inhabitants, in 1933 there were 164.

When the community of Groß Wannagupchen was renamed "Rohren" in Germanizing on June 3, 1938 , the district of Groß Wannagupchen was given the new name of "District Stadtfelde " (Petrowskoje).

On June 3, 1938, Petrikatschen was also given the new name "Schützenort". As such, the place, which in 1939 still had 147 inhabitants, was incorporated into the Stadtfelde district within the Stallupönen district (1938–1946 Ebenrode district ) in the Gumbinnen district in the Prussian province of East Prussia .

As a result of the Second World War , the village came to the Soviet Union and was renamed Prigorodnoye in 1947 . The name "suburb" referred to the nearby Rajonsitz Nesterow . At the same time, the place became the seat of a village soviet in Nesterow Rajon . From 2008 to 2018 Prigorodnoye was the seat of a rural municipality and has been part of the Nesterow urban district since then.

Prigorodny selski Sowet / okrug 1947–2008

The village soviet Prigorodny selski Sowet (ru. Пригородный сельский Совет) was established in June 1947 in Nesterow district . In 1954 the Babuschkinski selski Sowet (until about 1950 apparently Lugowski selski Sowet ) was connected. From 1960 to 1967 the Chernyshevsky selski Sowet was probably connected. After the collapse of the Soviet Union , the administrative unit existed as the village district Prigorodny selski okrug (ru. Пригородный сельский округ). In 2008 the remaining places of the village district were taken over into the newly formed rural community Prigorodnoje selskoje posselenije.
