history

Until 1945 the place called Milluhnen until 1938 and Mühlengarten between 1938 and 1946 belonged to the district of Stallupönen (1938–1945 district of Ebenrode ) in the administrative district of Gumbinnen in the Prussian province of East Prussia . In 1910 a total of 487 inhabitants lived in the rural community and in the manor district of Milluhnen.

On September 30, 1928, the rural community of Milluhnen and the two manor districts of Kerstuppen and Milluhnen were merged to form the new rural community of Milluhnen. In 1933 it had 448 inhabitants.

In 1938 the community Milluhnen was renamed "Mühlengarten". In 1939 there were 461 inhabitants.

As a result of the Second World War , the place came to the Soviet Union . In 1947 he was given the Russian name Ilyushino and at the same time was classified in the village soviet Prigorodny selski Sowet in Nesterow district. Later the place came to the Tschkalowski selski Sowet , whose administrative seat he himself became around 1980. From 2008 to 2018 Ilyushino was the administrative seat of a rural community and has belonged to the Nesterow district ever since.

Ilyushino sewage treatment plant

In 2005, as a German-Russian investment project, the construction of a plant-based sewage treatment plant as a solution for wastewater disposal in the rural area of Kaliningrad Oblast, the location of which Ilyushino was chosen, was undertaken. The wastewater from the Ilyushino settlement was previously uncleaned into the Glubokaya River or into meadows.

The result is a building that shows the project partner a simple, cost-effective and natural process of wastewater treatment, especially in rural areas: a two-line, three-stage system in which the wastewater is largely biologically treated. The wastewater first flows through a concreted primary clarification tank, in which the sludge can settle, and then one after the other two elongated, flat, planted ponds. At the end of the second pond, the wastewater passes through a sand filter stage before it, also cleaned of algae and other filterable substances, is directed into the nearby stream.

The German Federal Environment Ministry and the Federal Environment Agency provided advice and planning, while the German Federal Environment Foundation supported the preparation and construction of the facility. The Kaliningrad Regional Administration is responsible for sustainable operation.
