Tokarewka ( Russian Токаревка , German Makunischken , 1938–1945 Hohenwaldeck ) is a settlement in the Russian Oblast of Kaliningrad . It belongs to the local government unit Stadtkreis Nesterov in Nesterovsky District .

Geographical location

Tokarewka is located on the river Krasnaja (Rominte) in the northeast of the Rominter Heath . The local road 27K-058 leads through the village from the Rajonstadt Nesterow (Stallupönen / Ebenrode) to Krasnolessje (Groß Rominten / Hardteck) . In Tokarewka, a side street branches off to the former Rominten hunting lodge.

Until 1945 the village was a train station at kilometer 16.2 of the Goldap – Stallupönen railway line .

history

The village previously called Makunischken was on March 18, 1874 one of eight rural communities or manor districts that formed the newly established district of Iszlaudszen (1934-1945 Schönheide , Russian: Dmitrijewka).

The municipality Makunischken was on June 3, 1938 - in "Hohenwaldeck" - with an official confirmation from the July 16, 1938 renamed . Until 1945 it belonged to the Goldap district in the Gumbinnen administrative district of the Prussian province of East Prussia .

As a result of the Second World War , the place came to the Soviet Union . In 1947 the place received the Russian name Tokarewka and was assigned at the same time to the village soviet Krasnolessenski selski Sowet in Nesterow Rajon . 1954 came the place in the Tschistoprudnenski selski Sowet . From 2008 to 2018 Tokarewka belonged to the rural municipality of Tschistoprudnenskoje selskoe posselenije and since then to the urban district of Nesterow.

Before 1945 Makunischken resp. Hohenwaldeck with its predominantly Protestant population to the parish of Groß Rominten (Russian: Krasnolessje), which was separated from the parish of Tollmingkehmen in 1868 . It was in the church district Goldap (Polish: Gołdap) in the church province of East Prussia of the Church of the Old Prussian Union . The last German clergyman was Pastor Alfred Radtke .

In the neighboring town of Tschistyje Prudy there has been a Protestant parish again since the 1990s, which belongs to the Kaliningrad provost in the Evangelical Lutheran Church of European Russia (ELKER). The clergy responsible are the pastors of the Salzburg church in Gussew ( Gumbinnen ).
