Michurinskoje ( Russian Мичуринское , German Schackeln ) is a settlement in the Russian Oblast of Kaliningrad . It belongs to the local government unit Stadtkreis Nesterov in Nesterovsky District .

geography

Michurinskoje is located on the north-western edge of the Rominter Heide and can be reached via a cul-de-sac from the Tschistyje Prudy (Tollmingkehmen / Tollmingen) - Krasnolessje (Groß Rominten / Hardteck) road . Until the 1970s, Tschistyje Prudy was the next station on the Gołdap – Nesterow line , which was only operated in the Russian section after 1945 and was then discontinued.

history

On March 18, 1874, the rural community Schackeln belonged to the eight communities or manor districts that formed the newly established district Iszlaudszen (Russian: Dmitrijewka, 1934-1946 Schönheide).

Until 1945 Schackeln was a municipality in the district of Goldap in the administrative district of Gumbinnen in the Prussian province of East Prussia .

As a result of the Second World War , the village came under Soviet administration. It was given the Russian name Michurinskoje in 1950 and was assigned at the same time to the village soviet Tschistoprudnenski selski Sowet in Nesterow Rajon . From 2008 to 2018 Michurinskoje belonged to the rural municipality of Tschistoprudnenskoje selskoe posselenije and since then to the urban district of Nesterow.

The predominantly Protestant population of Schackeln before 1945 was parish in the parish of Tollmingkehmen (1938–1946 Tollmingen , today in Russian: Tschistyje Prudy). It belonged to the church district Goldap (now Polish: Gołdap) in the church province of East Prussia of the Church of the Old Prussian Union .

Church life was forbidden until the 1990s. Since then, however, there has been a Protestant congregation in Tschistyje Prudy again, which belongs to the newly formed provost of Kaliningrad in the Evangelical Lutheran Church of European Russia . The responsible rectory is that of the Salzburg Church in Gussew ( Gumbinnen ).
