Sowchosnoje ( Russian Совхозное , German Mattischkehmen ) is a place in the Russian Oblast of Kaliningrad . It belongs to the local government unit Stadtkreis Nesterov in Nesterovsky District .
Geographical location
Sovkhoznoye is located in the west of Nesterow Rajon and four kilometers west of Yasnaya Polyana ((Groß) Trakehnen) on the municipal road that leads into Gussew Rajon via Kalininskoje (Augstupönen / Hochfliess) to Lipowo (Kulligkehmen / Ohldorf) .
The nearest train station is Divnoje Novoje (Trakehnen) on the Kaliningrad – Chernyshevskoe railway line for onward travel to Lithuania (former Prussian Eastern Railway ).
history
Mattischkehmen was mentioned in a document for the first time in 1580, but the place had existed for a longer time.
In 1788 the Vorwerk Mattischkehmen was transferred from the domain administration to the main stud Trakehnen . Stallions from the stud were kept in Mattischkehmen.
On March 18, 1874, the Mattischkehmen manor district was incorporated into the newly established Jonasthal district (Russian: Ochtinskoje). He belonged to the district of Gumbinnen in the administrative district of Gumbinnen in the Prussian province of East Prussia .
On December 1, 1910 Mattischkehmen had 261 inhabitants.
On September 30, 1929, a restructuring was carried out on the eastern edge of the district of Gumbinnen by adding the four manor districts Guddin, Jodszlauken (1938–1946 Domhardtshof , Russian: Diwnoje ) with Waldhaus Jodszlauken, Jonasthal (Ochtinskoje) and Mattischkehmen with Waldhaus Mattischkehmen to the new rural community Trakehnen ”(opposite to (Groß) Trakehnen (Jasnaja Poljana) and Neu Trakehnen (Furmanowka), both in the Stallupönen district ). Only this one rural community formed the Jonasthal district until 1945.
As a result of the Second World War , Mattischkehmen came under Soviet administration as a district of Klein Trakehnen . In 1950 the place received the Russian name Sovkhoznoye and was assigned to the village soviet Tschkalowski selski Sowet at the same time . From 2008 to 2018, Sovkhoznoye belonged to the rural municipality of Ilyushinskoje selskoje posselenije and since then to the urban district of Nesterow.

The predominantly Protestant population of Mattischkehmen belonged to the parish of Gumbinnen until 1725 (today Russian: Gussew) and from 1725 to the parish of the Szirgupönen church (1936–1938 Schirgupönen , 1938–1946 Amtshagen , since 1946 Russian: Dalneje). It was in the church district of Gumbinnen in the church province of East Prussia of the Church of the Old Prussian Union . The last German clergyman was Pastor Helmut Karwinski.
Church life was forbidden during the Soviet era . In the 1990s, in the neighboring town of Yasnaja Poljana ( (Groß) Trakehnen ), an evangelical congregation was formed, which joined the newly formed provost of Kaliningrad of the Evangelical Lutheran Church of European Russia (ELKER). The responsible rectory is that of the Salzburg Church in Gussew ( Gumbinnen ).
school
In Mattischkehmen there was a school of its own, which was also attended by the children from Jodszlauken (1938–1945 Domhardtshof). A new school building was built in 1902. The last German teacher was Kurt Müller.
