Karpinskoje ( Russian Карпинское , German Oszeningken / Oscheningken, Goldap district , 1938-1945 Pfalzrode ) is a settlement within the Russian Kaliningrad Oblast . It belongs to the local government unit Stadtkreis Nesterov in Nesterovsky District . Today's Karpinskoje is located on the site of the former village of Pöwgallen / Pöwen, two kilometers southwest, while the former Oszeningken / Pfalzrode has been abandoned.

Geographical location

Karpinskoje is one and a half kilometers southeast of Tschistyje Prudy (Tollmingkehmen / Tollmingen) and can be reached from there via a road. Until the 1970s, Tschistyje Prudy was the next station on the Gołdap – Nesterow line , which was only operated in the Russian section after 1945 and was then discontinued.

Place name

The German place name Oszeningken (Oscheningken) appeared again in the Darkehmen district until 1938 .

history

The former Oszeningken in the Goldap district was one of 14 communities or manor districts that formed the Tollmingkehmen district on March 18, 1874 ( Tollmingen 1938–1946 , today in Russian: Tschistyje Prudy).

In 1910 there were 120 inhabitants, in 1933 there were 111 and in 1939 107.

On September 17, 1936, Oszeningken was renamed as "Oscheningken" with a linguistic adaptation, but on June 3, 1938 (with official confirmation of July 16, 1938) the name was changed to "Pfalzrode". Until 1945 the village belonged to the district of Goldap in the administrative district of Gumbinnen in the Prussian province of East Prussia .

As a result of the Second World War , the place came to the Soviet Union . In 1950 he received the Russian name Karpinskoje and was assigned at the same time to the village soviet Tschistoprudnenski selski Sowet in Nesterow Raion . Already on a well-known map from 1972 Karpinskoje was marked at the local point of Pöwgallen / Pöwen. From 2008 to 2018 Karpinskoje belonged to the rural municipality of Tschistoprudnenskoje selskoe posselenije and since then to the urban district of Nesterow.

church
