German Chess League 1983/84

The 1983/84 season was the fourth season of the German Chess League . The SG Porz became champion for the second time after 1981/82 . After five match days, the Königsspringer Frankfurt team withdrew from the game and was the first to be relegated. The matches that have already been played have been canceled. The SC Braunschweig , the VfL Sindelfingen , the SK Münster 32 and the SK Heidelberg rose . Braunschweig defeated Sindelfingen 5: 3 in the decider to stay up because of a tie, so Sindelfingen, Münster and Heidelberg had to relegate.
