In 2020/21, the Scottish League One will be held for the 8th time as the third highest division of men's football in Scotland . The league is officially played as Scottish League One and is one of the four leagues in the Scottish Football League after the Premiership and Championship . Which is followed League One from League Two .

The season is managed and played by the Scottish Football Association and begins on October 17, 2020. The season ends with the 27th matchday in May 2021.

In the 2020/21 season, ten clubs will compete against each other in a total of 27 match days. Each team plays once at home and away against each other. Then another nine game rounds are completed. As a relegated from last year's championship , Partick Thistle takes part in League One . As a climber from the previous League Two, the Cove Rangers .
