The 2019/20 Skeleton World Cup began on December 7, 2019 in Lake Placid and ended on February 16, 2020 in Sigulda . The World Cup comprised eight stations in North America and Europe and was held parallel to the Bobsleigh World Cup 2019/20 . The originally planned first World Cup in Park City had to be relocated to Lake Placid due to a technical defect in the cooling system of the bobsled run. The racing series was organized by the International Bobsleigh & Skeleton Federation (IBSF). The highlight of the season was the World Championships from February 18 to March 1, 2020 in Altenberg , the results of which, however, did not count towards the World Cup.
