The constituency Hildburghausen I - Schmalkalden-Meiningen III (constituency 18) is a state electoral district in Thuringia .

From the district of Hildburghausen it includes the communities Ahlstädt , Beinerstadt , Bischofrod , Dingsleben , Ehrenberg , Eichenberg , Grimmelshausen , Grub , Heldburg , Henfstädt , Hildburghausen , Veßra Monastery , Lengfeld , Marisfeld , Oberstadt , Reurieth , Römhild , Schlechtsart , Schmeheim , Schweickershausen ,St. Bernhard , Straufhain , Themar , Ummerstadt , Veilsdorf and Westhausen as well as the municipality of Grabfeld from the district of Schmalkalden-Meiningen . For the 2014 state election, the constituency was given its current name, after it was previously called the Hildburghausen I constituency . The renaming became necessary due to the incorporation of the municipality Grabfeld into the constituency. Previously, its area has hardly changed since the 1994 state election. In the state elections in 1990, the constituency of Hildburghausen comprised the entire district of Hildburghausen within its former borders.
