The 1. HNL 2004/05 (through sponsorship also Prva HNL Ožujsko ) was the 14th season of the highest Croatian football league . The season started on July 23, 2004 and ended on May 28, 2005.

HNK Hajduk Split was able to successfully defend its title.

The season started with twelve teams. First there was a preliminary round with a return leg, then the best six teams played the champions and the last six played in the relegation round.

The results from the preliminary round were transferred to the championship or relegation round. The bottom of the table was relegated directly, the penultimate had to be relegated.
