The 1st Yugoslav Football League 1984/85 was the 56th season of the highest Yugoslav division in men's football . It began on August 19, 1984 and ended on June 30, 1985.

The FK Sarajevo was after 1966/67 Yugoslavian champions for the second time. For the first time there was promoted NK Iskra Bugojno .
