The 1000 mile race of Brazil 2007 , also 1000 Milhas Brasil, Interlagos , took place on November 10th at the Autódromo José Carlos Pace and was the sixth and final championship run of the Le Mans Series of this year.

The race

The long distance race in Interlagos was the event with the longest race distance of the season; it was 1,000 miles. Converted, that resulted in 1611.566 kilometers for a race duration of almost 9 hours.

For the first time in the year, Stéphane Sarrazin won the qualification training in the Peugeot 908 HDi FAP with the number 7. With a time of 1: 18.787 minutes, he was 0.2 seconds faster than his teammates Nicolas Minassian and Marc Gené in the number 8 car. The 1000 mile race started with an incident because Pedro Lamy did not start from pole position could and the car could go away until after the field is already in the formation lap was.
