On June 29, 2012, advance ticket sales started exclusively for all guests who had already participated in 2011 and 2012, using the access code they received personally. All visitors who only participated in 2012 were able to book cabins with their code from July 3rd, and all new interested parties from July 10th, 2012. On Sunday, January 27, 2013, a pre-party for the event took place on a stretch of beach parallel to Ocean Drive, which was attended by around 300 to 400 visitors.

Itinerary 2013

Monday January 28th

Route of the Majesty of the Seas at the 70,000 Tons of Metal 2013

Check-in for the Majesty of the Seas began at 12:00 noon local time. The mandatory safety briefing for all guests followed at 3 p.m. and the ship was able to leave on time at around 5 p.m. The festival program was opened by Helstar in the Spectrum Lounge and shortly afterwards by Sabaton in the Chorus Line Theater. The pool stage was only opened at 1:00 a.m. by Metal Church , for whom the gig was their reunion show after the breakup in 2009.

Tuesday January 29th

Traditionally, Tuesday was the first of two “days at sea”, when the focus was on the bands' performances from late morning onwards. From 12 noon, official meet & greets with the bands present were held inside the ship .

Wednesday January 30th

On this day we went ashore on the Turks Island Grand Turk Island . At around 8:00 am, the Majesty of the Seas anchored off the island's capital, Cockburn Town ; from 9 a.m. you could then take a tender boat to the island. Once there, you could either stay at the beach bars or book various leisure activities such as an off-road vehicle safari or go horse riding, snorkeling and diving as well as kayaking, cycling, buggy or catamaraning and petting manta rays. The participants had to be back on board at 3.30 p.m., and the ship left the island in the early evening. The musical evening program opened on that day Subway to Sally .

Thursday January 31st

As on Tuesday, the focus on Thursday was on the bands' performances. A total of 28 bands performed that day. On the pool deck, the playing time for an official "belly smack competition" with an award ceremony was suspended between 2:00 am and 2:30 am. In the afternoon there was a pre-listening session for the upcoming Turisas album for the trade press present as well as an official press conference in which the captain, hotel manager and organizer Andy Piller reported statistical information on the trip.

The last band of the 70,000 of Metal in 2013 on the pool deck were Sabaton . Before the last song, organizer Andy Piller stepped on stage and gave a speech of thanks. During the last song, Sabaton singer Joakim Brodén let himself be carried over the hands of the fans into the pool, as he did in 2011. The other band members of Sabaton as well as several ship employees followed him.

Friday February 1st

As usual, the actual festival program lasted until the early hours of Friday morning. The ship had to be left at around 9 a.m. and left again on the same evening after the festival equipment was dismantled.
