The A151 is a federal trunk road in Russia . In the Volga region (Powolschje) it connects the city of Ziwilsk , which is about 40 kilometers from the capital of the Chuvash Republic , with Ulyanovsk , the administrative center of the neighboring Ulyanovsk Oblast .
The road crosses south to south-east direction, the up to 300 meters above the level of Volga rising hills of the north-eastern part of the Volga plate . It also leads on a short section through the far west of the Republic of Tatarstan .
