Ak möngülüü aska ( Kyrill . Ак мөңгүлүү аска) is the title and beginning of the text of the Kyrgyz national anthem .
The song became the national anthem of the new state on December 18, 1992, shortly after the sovereign republic of Kyrgyzstan was founded in August 1991 and replaced the anthem of the Kyrgyz Soviet republic (" Azattykty kyrgyz eňsep turganda, ... ") that had been in use since 1946 . The new composition, which is supposed to refer to the regional musical heritage of Central Asia, comes from Nasir Dawlesow (* 1929) and Kalji Moldobasanow (1929-2006). Jamil Sadikow (* 1932) and Eschmambet Kulujew (* 1942) wrote the text.
