Alexander Khuon (born March 10, 1979 in Freiburg im Breisgau ) is a German actor .

Alexander Khuon received his training from 1999 to 2003 at the "Felix Mendelssohn Bartholdy" University of Music and Theater in Leipzig . In 2001 he was on stage as part of his studies at the Dresden State Theater studio. From 2003 he was engaged at the Schauspiel Köln , where he could be seen as Hamlet , Platonov or Ferdinand ( Kabale und Liebe ), among others. He has been a permanent member of the ensemble at the Deutsches Theater Berlin since the beginning of the 2004/2005 season . Here he was u. a. in Jürgen Gosch's production of Who is Afraid of Virginia Woolf? to see. This production was invited to the Berlin Theatertreffen 2005 and Alexander Khuon was nominated as actor or young talent of the year. This was followed by further work with directors such as Michael Thalheimer , Christian Petzold , Nicolas Stemann , Dimiter Gotscheff , Oliver Reese , Jürgen Gosch and others. v. a. He made several guest appearances at the Salzburg Festival, most recently in 2009 with Chekhov's Die Möwe , a production that was also invited to the Berlin Theatertreffen that same year. He was awarded the Gertrud Eysoldt Ring for his role as the writer Trigorin . In 2016 Daniela Löffner's production of Turgenew's Fathers and Sons with Khuon as Jewgeni Barzarow was invited to the Berlin Theatertreffen.

Alexander Khuon is also present in front of and behind the camera. He directed and wrote the script for the short film PAUL (2000). In 2007 he played his first leading role in the movie The Discovery of Currywurst, based on the novel of the same name by Uwe Timm , for which he was nominated for the German Film Prize as the best young actor at the Munich Film Festival. In 2008 he stood in front of the camera for the ARD production Mein Leben - Marcel Reich-Ranicki together with Matthias Schweighöfer and Katharina Schüttler . This was followed by the cinema film Lila Lila with Daniel Brühl (an adaptation of the novel of the same name by Martin Suter ) directed by Alain Gsponer and the episode film Krankes Haus (director: Wolfgang Becker ). In 2016, his second short film, "The Fat Man," based on a story by Clemens Meyer with Ulrich Matthes and Philipp Hauss, will be released under his direction. He was invited to the Montréal Film Festival.
