Ambassador Airways was a British airline based in Newcastle upon Tyne .
history

Ambassador Airways was founded in February 1992 after the loss of Air Europe to capacity bottlenecks at the British tour operators. The airline drew options for two Boeing 757s, although they did not yet have an operating license. The flight operations were therefore carried out from May 21, 1992 on two Boeing 757s leased from Caledonian Airways until the operating license was finally obtained in the spring of 1993.
Flight operations had to be suspended again on November 28, 1994, as the tour operator, Best Leisure Travel, which was behind Ambassador Airways, had gone bankrupt .
Destinations
From the hubs in Newcastle , London Gatwick and Glasgow, as well as various other British airports, flights were mainly to Cyprus and Greece .
