Flyglobespan was a British scheduled and charter airline based in Edinburgh .

history

Flyglobespan was founded in 2002 as a subsidiary of Globespan Plc. founded.

On 16 December 2009, it provided for financial reasons their flight operations and is since then under receivership . According to British press reports, the company's bankruptcy was largely caused by the fact that the payment processor E-Clear withheld at least £ 36 million in collateral. The search for these missing funds was initially unsuccessful.

aims

Flyglobespan mainly flew to the Mediterranean region , mainly to Spain , Portugal , Greece and Cyprus . In addition, various destinations in North America , including Canada and Florida, were served.
