Janes Aviation

The airline was founded in 1987 by Andy Janes and his wife Hilary as Janes Aviation Limited . The company began operations in 1987 at London Southend Airport on the Blackpool - Belfast route with a leased Britten-Norman BN-2 Islander .

The company was renamed Emerald Airways in 1992, the same year the company moved to Liverpool .

In October 2002 she bought the Exeter- based airline Streamline Aviation . In June 2005, Euromanx again bought the passenger service from Emerald Airways.
