Wizz Air UK was founded on September 26th 2017. The plan was to station eight Airbus A320s and Airbus A321s in London-Luton by the end of 2018 and to employ up to 300 people. A subsidiary was set up in the United Kingdom when the United Kingdom left the EU . The first flight took place on May 3, 2018 from London-Luton to Bucharest .
