Venues of the district class Halle-Merseburg 1933/34 (blue = master / yellow = relegated / gray = change) |
The Bezirksklasse Halle-Merseburg 1933/34 was the after-Sportgau restructuring, the first playing time of a substructure for Gauliga center acting Bezirksklasse Halle-Merseburg . What was new about it was the current three-tier division of the second class on the basis of the three districts of the Gau Mitte, which in turn were divided into a total of 15 sub-districts, each with a district class as the third level. The first title holder of the new B. class was the FV Sportfreunde Halle , who qualified for the Gauliga in the middle of 1934/35 in the promotion round that followed. The city rival Borussia 02 Halle won the runner-up title in front of a trio made up of SpVg Neumark, the Halle team from SV 98 and TuRV Weißenfels. After a broad midfield, again made up of five clubs, at the end of the season VfL 1912 Merseburg and BSC 07 Sangerhausen had to make their way back to the newly created district classes. Since the season champion was promoted to the Gauliga, three free places were available for the new season. These secured themselves in a relegation round played for the first time by all district champions of the district, Ammendorfer FC 1910 and SpVg 1910 Zeitz. Third place was awarded by the association's game commission to the Torgau equestrian regiment / sports group , which then entered the new season relatively late and whose right to participate in the league can be determined retrospectively by researching time sources .
Attendees
Due to the co-ordination of the time, the DFB also underwent a significant structural reform. In addition to the redesign of the Gauligen system, the sporting football district and district levels should also be redesigned. The Gauliga Mitte (Gau VI) now formed the top division and the three district classes Magdeburg-Anhalt , Halle-Merseburg and Thuringia were now intended as the second division . The new Halle-Merseburg district class should start its first season with 12 clubs. The distribution key as a qualification model was known before the start of the 1932/33 season: seven Gauliga Saale clubs , three Gauliga Saale-Elster clubs and two Gauliga Kyffhäuser clubs . For reasons related to the level of sport, no qualification places were planned for the best placed representatives of the Gauliga Mulde and the Gauliga Elbe-Elster . So from 1933 on they plunged into the new adventure, which promised a higher, because more compressed level and replaced the 1b class structure that was previously heavily watered down. After a short time of its existence, the structure that was now created proved its valuable meaningfulness.
The following 12 clubs qualified for the first edition of the Halle-Merseburg district class :
