Blue had her first television appearance on April 16, 2001 on the Big Breakfast Show , her first live appearance on April 28, 2001 on SMTV. With the next single, a cover version of the next classic Too Close , the quartet had their first number one hit of their career. Another followed with the release If You Come Back in November 2001.
In 2002, after the other songs Fly By and One Love , they landed their biggest hit to date with Sorry Seems to Be the Hardest Word . The title is a cover version of the title by Elton John , who sang along with the remake by Blue himself. The title stayed in the top ten for several weeks and reached number one in Great Britain.
In 2003 Guilty was released . In 2004 they recorded the old Wonder hit Signed, Sealed, Delivered I'm Yours with Stevie Wonder and Angie Stone . Curtain Falls was supposed to be their last single in 2004, but in 2005 they followed Get Down on It , a cover version of Kool & The Gang , on which they were supported by Lil 'Kim , and Only Words I Know , which was possibly their most unsuccessful song. because it only made it into the top 50.
