Robert Douglas "Bobby" Brown (born September 24, 1984 in Los Angeles , California ) is an American basketball player . After studying in his home country, Brown began his professional career in the German basketball league at ALBA Berlin, with which he became German champions in 2008 . After stints in the highest endowed professional league, the NBA , he returned to Europe in 2010, where, after stints in Poland and Greece, he played in the basketball Bundesliga 2011/12 with the EWE Baskets Oldenburg. Career

Brown graduated from California State University, Fullerton , where he from 2003 onwards for the high school team Titans in the Big West Conference of the NCAA played. After not being selected in the 2007 NBA Draft , he began a professional career in Europe. In February 2009, Bobby Brown and Shelden Williams were transferred to the Minnesota Timberwolves in exchange for Calvin Booth and Rashad McCants . For the NBA 2009/10 he moved to the New Orleans Hornets. There he was back-up from NBA All-Star and Olympic Champion Chris Paul . On December 27, he reached against the Sichuan Blue Whales with 74 points, the second highest point count at the time that was ever achieved in a game of the Chinese Basketball Association . Overall, he averaged 29.2 points, 6.3 assists and 4.7 rebounds for this team.

On March 28, 2016, Brown joined Turkish first division side Beşiktaş Sompo Japan , where he spent the remainder of the 2015/16 season in the Türkiye Basketbol Ligi .

In September 2016, he signed another contract in the NBA with the Houston Rockets team.
